Tithe Barn Wedding Bolton Abbey
Romantic Wedding Photography at Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire
One of my favourite UK weddings in 2019 was this lovey Bolton Abbey wedding I photographed as a second shooter for Kathryn Heyhurst ( Delicious Photography). It was my first time as a Tithe Barn Wedding Photographer and I honestly loved every minute of it. Working with Kathryn again was great and we got to photograph and amazing wedding at a fantastic wedding venue.
The day started with the bridal preparations at a beautiful location in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which was none other than the wonderful Dean Head B&B. With stunning views of rolling hills and a really rustic vibe, this was the perfect place for Amy and her bridesmaids to get ready for the day ahead. Emotions ran high, especially at the end when Amy came down for the reveal. Her dad broke down instantly when he saw her, which made for a really special and intimate moment.

After the bridal prep and the emotional reveal, we all headed to the stunning Tithe Barn wedding venue. The weather kept changing and we had spells of sunshine interlaced with short but heavy downpours, but that was not enough to ruin this fantastic Bolton Abbey Wedding! Once the bridal party arrived, we went inside and got ready for the ceremony. I took some photos of the venue which is definitely my favourite one in 2019, the interior decorations and all the exposed wooden beams are gorgeous, a dream for any Rustic Wedding Photographer. Despite all this though, the venue is a bit on the dark side, so any Tithe Barn Wedding Photographer should be aware of that and come prepared with adequate lighting.

After the beautiful ceremony, we decided to take Amy and Jordan away for a romantic wedding photoshoot at Bolton Abbey. Once Amy traded her heels for some proper (but still stylish) countryside footware, we walked down to Bolton Abbey for a relaxed bride and groom photoshoot. The beautiful ruins made for a fantastic background and the fact that it had just rained contributed to a lovely and moody atmosphere. I loved evey minute of being a Bolton Abbey Wedding Photographer and both Amy and Jordan were super fun and easy to work with.

Following a gorgeous sunset, everyone went back inside for the speeches, some of which were hilarious, others were very touching and emotional and there was some crying, caused both by the funny speeches as well as the emotional ones. After that Amy and Jordan cut the cake and then had a beautiful first dance, which was followed by a great live performance from the band, which got a lot of people up from their chairs and onto the dancefloor and that’s exactly the way it should be. Everyone had a wonderful time. I loved Amy and Jordan’s Bolton Abbey Wedding and I loved being their Tithe Barn Wedding Photographer on this special day!
